PERMANENT MOORING

For FPSOs and production systems, one of InterMoor’s specialties is the installation of permanent mooring systems using cost-efficient Anchor Handler Tug Supply (AHTS) boats and other non-conventional construction vessels. The best example of this expertise is our involvement in two of the largest deepwater projects to recently go online in the Gulf of Mexico. Technical innovations extended the capabilities of the AHVs, minimized twist in the mooring lines and ensured cost effectiveness that would not have been possible with another vessel:

  • Delta House (WD: 4,400 ft.)
  • Heidelberg (WD: 5,310 ft.)

InterMoor can provide engineering, procedures and offshore operations services for the maintenance of mooring lines. Some of our ultradeep water interventions include:

  • FPSO Turritella, Stones Field – SHELL – WD 9,500 ft. Mooring leg tensioning through ILMC, excess chain cutting (subsea) and removal. Riser pull-in rope stretching and transfer to FPSO.
